To my love – a poem Podcast
This is a poem I wrote many years ago, before I was either old or grey! It is very pertinent to my current situation where I feel I am both. I’m pretty sure I have put this poem in as a blog post previously, but if you would like to hear me read it, clickContinue reading “To my love – a poem Podcast”
Now I’m retired – a Poem Podcast
I’m pretty sure that I put this up on my blog, some time ago. Even if I have put them on my blog previously, I will try to still add the link to listen to them on my Podcast. My cousin and others have said that they like to hear poetry read by the poet.Continue reading “Now I’m retired – a Poem Podcast”
Perfect imperfection and Parkinsons – Podcast Episode 18
Some may strive for perfection, but for me, that is aiming too high. I try to be the best that I can be in the moment. My best can change minute to minute, hour by hour or day by day. What is important is to be kind to ourselves and not put pressure on ourselvesContinue reading “Perfect imperfection and Parkinsons – Podcast Episode 18”

My kids and I had some discussionsContinue reading “What do we leave our children? – Podcast Episode 15”

I have shared this before here on my blog, but I thought I would read it for the Podcast. I hope you enjoy it. It was written over 20 years ago when internet dating was still very new. I’m happy to say that I met my husband on a site. I always say, he isContinue reading “‘Ode to shopping for shoes and finding a mate’ Podcast Episode 11”
What’s precious? – Podcast – Episode 10
A podcast inspired by a few things that happened at hospital recently. It got me to thinking about that topic in general and how we don’t know what is precious or important for another person if we don’t ask. Or, for that matter, if they don’t tell us!
My 4th Anniversary with Parkinson’s – Podcast Episode 9
On 15/12/20 I was diagnosed with Parkinson’s and my life was to change forever. I have learned a lot about myself and I have consciously made more time for my family since the diagnosis. I have less complacency that we will always have each other and I treasure every moment with those I love.
