A silly little poem, just because sometimes I don’t want my life to be all about Parkinson’s. I offer this poem, that pokes fun at me to show that life doesn’t have to always be serious. I often laugh at myself, cos I am apt to do silly things from time to time. This was one of them…
Knickers
She got dressed to go to bowls
With all those other happy souls
To play upon the sunlit green
A happy, friendly lovely scene
All at once, time sped on by
I'll be late, they heard her cry
"I can't be late!" she then obsessed
In a rush then she got dressed
And as she got into her car
something strange she'd not got far
My knickers they don't seem to fit
They barely cover where I sit
But she was one was never late
Would have to cope with this her fate
So there she was upon the green
So, lucky it could not be seen
She was glad that no-one sees
Her knickers heading for her knees
It could have been a bigger mess
If she instead had on a dress
Her modesty had been preserved
None had seen what she observed
So, who was 'she' you'd like to know
Whose knickers nearly put on show?
Well, it was me I must confess
Just like me to make this mess
Those who know, I'm not surprising
That knicker error with the sizing
And so, I checked the knicker drawer
Got rid of those that fit no more
And off I went to buy some more
Granny knickers from the store
Nice big knickers I can trust
Sitting just below my bust
No unplanned knicker surprise
Knickers now all the right size
My silliness now on display
I hope this tale has made your day
We all are silly once in a while
I hope my telling made you smile
I know next time, I will not come
With knickers that don't fit my bum
Love it, have had a great chuckle, you are very clever with words..Your day made a good story.ThanksRobyn Sent from my Galaxy
