Memories are marvellous

Memories are sparked in so many ways and sometimes it is surprising. I know when I hear the theme tune for Huckleberry Hound – which hasn’t been for a long time, that I immediately think of fish and chips and can smell them I’m sure!

I am a retired Social Worker having retired in May 2024. I had been a Social Worker for over 20 years and for the sake of my health and wellbeing I chose to retire early. Hello, I have been out of action for a while.But, I am now really wondering how you are recovering after your back surgery? I am so hoping for a good outcome for you.PD is hard enough without major pain related Injuries.I thought you may be interested to know that my husband is to have a Trodat scan in a few weeks. He has waited a very long time for this, hopefuly it will help to confirm exactly what neurological disorder he does have.My husband’s Mother had PD, however this was linked to vascular dementia and not treated due to age and fraility.Husband has had Genetic testing and it has shown that there is no hereditary gene that he is carrying, so this Trodat scan may help with a more complete diagnosis.Enough about us, wishing you all the best.RobynSent from my Galaxy

Hi Robin. Sounds like it will be good for you to get a bit more certainty regarding diagnosis. Hope it helps and is not too stressful. I am back home now after a week in hospital. A longer stay than I envisaged and I was so ready to be home. Will be 6-8 weeks recovery and hope to be back driving much sooner than that.
