Merry Christmas from me to you – A wee Christmas poem.

Christmas

C 	is for	Children who make this day complete		
H	is for	Hungry may you always have something to eat		
R	is for	Remember that you are truly unique	
I	is for	I know that you don’t always get what you seek
S	is for	Special because there’s only one you		
T	is for	Take a look at life, do what you want to do
M	is for	Make a wish and stand on your own two feet
A	is for	All I know, is family makes my life complete
S	is for	Savour these moments with those you love

Add them all together and they spell Christmas. So, as we approach Christmas 2024 and New Year 2025. These are my wishes for you.

May you be with those you love. 

Maybe meet somebody new. 

Treasure your self for you are a gift. 

There is nobody else quite like you. 

May you have some ONE in your life who cares for you. 

Because friends are about quality not quantity you only need one who really loves you.

I know that not everyone has a special someone or family that supports them. 

This is just my wish for you and my family for the festive season.

I am a retired Social Worker having retired in May 2024. I had been a Social Worker for over 20 years and for the sake of my health and wellbeing I chose to retire early. I have some literary projects underway and am enjoying the freedom of no longer working. Working on my projects at my own pace and enjoying my new hobby of lawn bowls is a wonderful thing. No regrets and a new kind of busy in retirement is wonderful.

Merry Christmas to you and your family.We live with with PSP and Parkinsonism symptoms and me with  long term Chronic pain and auto immune disease.We are just hanging in living independently.We love your blogs, with ups and downs and my husband loves your poetry.Thanks for sharing your pain and PD journey and again Merry Christmas from us both…Sent from my Galaxy

    1. Hi. A Merry Christmas to you too. I am glad you like my blogs. I try to keep them real and share both the good times and the challenging/sad/difficult times. With both of you having health issues, I hope you both are getting the support that you need. I know there are bound to be support you can tap into so that both of you feel supported. All the best.
