Is it tiredness or something more…

We are currently in Wellington with soon and daughter in law and their three busy boys. I got up at 5am as I couldn’t get back to sleep.

Throughout the day I noticed that I had trouble finding words and some big pauses while I tried to find the words. Did I detect a look, a shadow, concern on my family’s faces?  Do they think I am losing it? Do I?

It has been a busy day and a long day and my husband keeps telling me it’s just that I have a cold and I’m tired after a busy day. I sure hope so.

Just lately insidious little things seem to be happening that seem to indicate progression?

I really do need to see my Neurologist before I get into a fret cycle!

I am a retired Social Worker having retired in May 2024. I had been a Social Worker for over 20 years and for the sake of my health and wellbeing I chose to retire early. I have some literary projects underway and am enjoying the freedom of no longer working. Working on my projects at my own pace and enjoying my new hobby of lawn bowls is a wonderful thing. No regrets and a new kind of busy in retirement is wonderful.

  2. A good and completely restful night of sleep is very important, even to us who do not have Parkinson. I noticed that my Cheryl struggled to find words and names if she did not rest well. Don’t beat your self up about it. 🙂 just get some rest – which is hard if you have a respiratory infection of any kind.
