Putting my house in order – Podcast

Heading into surgery on Monday 3/2 – and being very much a planner – I have looked at various things to put my house in order.

They include:

  • Checking Wills and Enduring Power of attorney are up to date. As it happens they are not and these need to be updated.
  • Checking insurance to see if there is any Critical Care insurance or Significant illness cover available should that be needed.
  • Medical alarm already in place. This will be useful should I have a fall or anything else where I need to get help.

This podcast will give some detail of the information it is useful to have before going in for surgery. It may be helpful for you too, to have a look at these things that may offer some financial support from your life insurance policy.

I hope you enjoy listening and glean some useful information.

I am a retired Social Worker having retired in May 2024. I had been a Social Worker for over 20 years and for the sake of my health and wellbeing I chose to retire early. I have some literary projects underway and am enjoying the freedom of no longer working. Working on my projects at my own pace and enjoying my new hobby of lawn bowls is a wonderful thing. No regrets and a new kind of busy in retirement is wonderful.
