As we sit at the airport in London getting ready for our flight to Singapore, I reflect on our 9 week holiday.
We have spent time with friends and family and precious time too just the two of us.
We have had once in a lifetime experiences and revisited some favorite places. We have stayed with family and friends as well and been treated with love and caring by all. All those who have taken time to be with us have made this trip so special.
We have had a few hiccups along the way, the biggest being our car accident. However, even that has not put a dampener on our trip or our spirits for long. My knee has caused me pain throughout but I have kept on keeping on albeit with the assistance of painkillers. We have had to modify some of our activities to lessen the impact of my knee, but we have still had lots of fun experiences.
This trip has shown me that we can still have trips like this with some planning and compromises. At times my husband has gone for longer walks by himself when I have needed to rest. That’s ok with me!
So now homeward bound, it will be a time for detoxing from all our indulgences and getting back to healthy eating once more.
The memories of this holiday will be with us for life and hopefully we can do it again in the future.
You have made some wonderful memories.
But best part is “you did it” just for you..”you did it” huge boost to your mental well being and of course the exercise is the best thing ever for PD….well done🥉🥉🥉🥉

Really happy that you have had such a great time. Well done, you!
Every trip involves some compromises, I think, but the overall experience sounds like it was wonderful. We find that however fabulous a trip has been, it always engenders a new appreciation of the comfort of our own home. Safe travels back to NZ. ❤️
