Podcasts – The importance of support groups and Forgetting and fumbling about

Here is a link to two podcasts I did today. I thought I would make it easy for you to access my podcasts as well as the blog posts I do here. The podcasts may have similar thoughts, but there is also a bit extra in a podcast.

If you are a newcomer to my blog, do look back at the beginning where I start off the blog as a newly diagnosed person with Parkinson’s. You can see the progression as I begin to live my life as a person with Parkinson’s. There is legal “stuff” like Enduring Powers of Attorney(EPOA) and lots of useful “stuff” including some advice from a Lawyer about EPOA and Wills.

The first of my podcasts is “My journey with Parkinson’s” in which I talk about my life with Parkinson’s. I also have a podcast called “Parkies Patter – a chat about all things Parkinson’s” which I love because it is me having the opportunity to interview people with Parkinson’s and give them a voice. There are not many there as yet, but they are heartwarming and brave to share their journeys and their challenges. Do pop over to have a look. The can be found on Spotify and Youtube and wherever you download your podcasts. I’m sure you’ll find something useful.

Anyway, here’s a link to two podcasts I did today.

I am a retired Social Worker having retired in May 2024. I had been a Social Worker for over 20 years and for the sake of my health and wellbeing I chose to retire early. I have some literary projects underway and am enjoying the freedom of no longer working. Working on my projects at my own pace and enjoying my new hobby of lawn bowls is a wonderful thing. No regrets and a new kind of busy in retirement is wonderful.
