We have continued our travels and are now in the beautiful Molveno area. Out of our window is the most breathtaking of views. I opened the curtains on our first morning here and said just one word, “Wow!” The view of the mountains from our balcony is just breathtaking. We are here for a total of 7 days and have pretty much had something on every day. We have been to a winery and tried some wine, we have been to a beautiful town called Trento with a market and tried some of the local food which was incredible. With all the outings we have had, I feel I have coped quite well, apart from having to sit for a while and eat – what a shame – to recover my energy. My body is holding up pretty well and I am pleased that for the most part I have kept up.
Today, we walked from our Hotel up to the town – all very uphill – and up to the gondola which we rode all the way to the top and were able to get some amazing photos. Breathtaking views and lovely memories made. Tonight we have a posh dinner and will all be dressing up for dinner and accompanied by a piano, so sounds rather lovely. The food at the hotel is pretty amazing and we are enjoying some time as part of the group and some time as a couple.
All in all, I don’t feel my Parkinson’s is holding me back and being in a town where the shops shut for a siesta from 12pm to 4pm I fit right in! Shops open again from 4pm to 7pm. Just the ticket for us oldies that need a rest too.
Feeling good today and feel I managed very well with the long uphill climb. If anyone has already got walking poles, I thoroughly recommend them. They have made it so much easier to do the walks and particularly the hills I have had to climb.
