“Live for the moment, but plan for the future.”

I am a person who is naturally a planner. I like to try to figure out what steps I need to take to achieve my goals. That worked well when in employment, but now I need to have a balance between being a planner and living for the moment.

It is important to be prepared for the future, to have those conversations and then be able to get on with life.

Here is my podcast on the topic and I have added some others that also explore how we live for the moment, but plan for the future.

I am a retired Social Worker having retired in May 2024. I had been a Social Worker for over 20 years and for the sake of my health and wellbeing I chose to retire early. I have some literary projects underway and am enjoying the freedom of no longer working. Working on my projects at my own pace and enjoying my new hobby of lawn bowls is a wonderful thing. No regrets and a new kind of busy in retirement is wonderful.
