We can pat ourselves on the back

Below is a link to a podcast about patting ourselves on our back. Celebrating when we achieve something, in this world of ours that can become dominated by Parkinson’s. With a compromised brain, that might take longer to learn and retain information.

I have just spent most of the day trying to learn how to do short clips for social media. Crazy things I set myself to do at 63 nearly 64. However, after many hours and many tries, I think I have done it.

I probably won’t remember how to do it tomorrow, so forgive me if I celebrate my achievement now!

I am a retired Social Worker having retired in May 2024. I had been a Social Worker for over 20 years and for the sake of my health and wellbeing I chose to retire early. I have some literary projects underway and am enjoying the freedom of no longer working. Working on my projects at my own pace and enjoying my new hobby of lawn bowls is a wonderful thing. No regrets and a new kind of busy in retirement is wonderful.
