It’s been a busy time on holiday in the UK. I have said more than once that I will need a holiday after this holiday! We are packing in lots of adventures, both big and small and I am finding that I am really tired, really quickly it seems.
I have worried out loud to my husband as to whether my level of tiredness is because of my Parkies’ and if this means I am progressing. I suppose it is hard to know exactly.
I do know that I have been indulging in foods that I wouldn’t normally eat and that I am overweight. I am the heaviest I have ever been I think, but am reluctant to weigh myself to find out! I have been needing a Nanna Nap most days to get me through.
As well as Parkies I also have arthritis – we refer to my arthritis as ‘Arthur’ – and apparently arthritis can make you tired too! We often say that ‘Arthur and Parky’ are conspiring against me. With the two of them both doing their bit to sap my energy.
I will try to get back into a more positive mode and enjoy what is left of our holiday and try to listen to my body and rest when I can.
Once we are home and eating more healthily, start to lose weight and get fitter again, hopefully my energy will return.
Try to do your activities when your dopamine levels are at their highest, your Arthritis probably works on the same time frames. Keep well hydrated.
If your on madopar add an extra dose into your day.
What a wonderful trip, hope you will upload photos .

Thanks. I am not in Madopar and I will admit that I can be a bit slack with timing. Most of my photos I have taken in my camera, not my phone but I will try to post some more soon. I am on Sinemet and another medication, but can’t remember what the other one is!!! How bad is that…. Mind you it’s been a busy day and my brain is tired. I will try harder to be more diligent with timing and hydration. I guess I also need to rest when my body tells me!

I also think our age has something to with tiredness & needing nana naps… be kind to yourself & keep the water up!!!! I find if I don’t drink enough water it has a really detrimental effect… enjoy the time abroad!! Xx
