There are no experts in Parkinson’s – Oh, yes there are – A Podcast

As a follow on from the previous blog post, I thought I would add the podcast in case you might like to listen to it.

I always say that we are the ones who are experts and I firmly believe that. No two Parkinson’s presentations are the same. Your Parkinson’s will be different from everybody else’s Parkinson’s and therefore you are the expert. Those that support in the role of carer or husband, wife, family/Whanau are also experts, but to a lesser degree and in a different way than the person with the diagnosis.

I hope you enjoy the podcast.

I am a retired Social Worker having retired in May 2024. I had been a Social Worker for over 20 years and for the sake of my health and wellbeing I chose to retire early. I have some literary projects underway and am enjoying the freedom of no longer working. Working on my projects at my own pace and enjoying my new hobby of lawn bowls is a wonderful thing. No regrets and a new kind of busy in retirement is wonderful.
